decorating with yarn – more wall art

I went off to Target and had another look around. You see, I rent. So I won’t be drilling any holes into my walls. Actually I can’t – I’ve tried. This is the result of $12.99 in black matte board, sphere pushpins and circle paperclips. I’ve tried and I’ve tried, but the photo really really doesn’t do the yarn justice.

I’ve got Lorna’s Laces on the left in Jeans, Black Watch and Gold Hill. On the right I have Vesper, Sunshine Yarns and Schaefer. Crud, I didn’t even get out the Pippi’s Knee Socks Duval Street, the Yarn Pirate’s Semi-Precious, any of the Lisa Souza or the Cherry Tree Hill. Maybe I’ll get another board. Teehee.

And then I’ve got all this stuff that’s in balls, so I put it in this jar. I bought this jar in a fit of silliness for Sangria. I’ve never regretted owning it and if I need to make Sangria, I’ll dump out the yarn for the evening.

Now, what should I work on for the L&V Marathon for my own destashing? I have a mere 2.34 miles of sock yarn or so.

  2. I read the other post about this at your YD blog.. lots of great suggestions and inspiration. I love how you put the yarn in a jar. I may try to come up with something someday, but I do have one skein I’m keeping in a shadowbox, and it hangs on my wall like art. :)

  3. I might have nightmares about what would happen if I tried that around here!!!
