catching up

This is what I’ve been up to.

These are some squares made from Noro Kureyon inspired by Amy Swenson, the designer behind indiknits‘. The pattern I’d been eyeing was the Saratoga Sunburst, felted handbag. I saw one someone else had made and had to have something like it! It’s slow because I can’t count to 100 and I keep losing the 5th needle. Seriously, I can find my size 0 needles more easily than one 11. What’s with that?

I’ve got two more squares to make after the one on the needles.

And no, I haven’t forgot about Lizard Ridge.

Lots of the following projects are intended to be part of my Project Spectrum 2.0 project.

I keep trying to make the endpaper mitts. I’m starting to think that variegated yarn is a bad idea on these and am leaning towards just ordering a skein of Lorna’s Laces from some place for these.

1. Lorna’s Laces, 2. Vesper, 3. Interlacements

Created with fd’s Flickr Toys.
I’ve been having a lot of trouble starting and finishing socks. The kind of electric blue you see is actually a very nice shade of purple. The yarn is Interlacement’s Tiny Toes. I really wanted to keep up with the Sock A Month Along, but have failed unless I am allowed to make up for February in March.

I straightened out my intarsia project, the Wobbly Circles Tote by Leigh Radford. Incidentally it’s for Tweeding Along and for Project Spectrum 2.0. This is the bag from Interweave Knits Spring 2006. It’s going to be great. The yarn is Rowan Skye Tweed.

And these are the beginnings of my Anemoi Mittens. I finally got them cast-on. They are going to be beautiful and are my obsession of choice!

I think I found the perfect pixelizer for color knitting. It’s a new toy from flickr toys and you upload a picture and it turns into pixels! Then you’d just have to rescale it for the shape of the actual stitches because the pixelizer is square.

Finally, I will leave you with some yarn Pr0n. I got some Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Potluck yarn. I think I’ll have some more Monkey Socks.
