I’ve been to the Yarn Garden*, Abundant Yarn and Knit Purl* in Portland. I’ve also been to Have You Any Wool in Salem. In Lincoln City, I went to Nestucca Bay Yarns. In Hood River, I checked out Knot Another Hat*. I’ve been to Soft Horizons and the Knit Shop in Eugene, where I met an extraordinatry lace knitter. The Ben Franklin Craft and Frame Shop in Springfield sells high quality yarns and has wonderful regular sales. There’s a new shop (Thimbles and Threads) in Junction City also with a small but growing selection of yarns. Earlier this year I went to Websters in Ashland. I love Websters and am planning to stop there on my way to San Francisco every time.
